Scientists from around the world will converge on Denmark in September to collect and summarise current knowledge of resveratrol, and make recommendations for the future’s research.
Taking place from 13th to 16th of September 2010, the “First International Scientific Conference of Resveratrol and Health” will address the role of resveratrol in inflammation, cardiovascular, cancer, longevity, neuroprotection, obesity and diabetes, bioavailability and occurrence.
Resveratrol is an antioxidant naturally found in grapes and red wine, mulberries, peanuts and 'knotweed' (polygonum cuspidatum). It has been shown to have positive anti-aging benefits, and has also demonstrated benefits in diabetes, heart health, obesity and some cancers.
These documented health benefits have generated significant interest in the ingredient from the supplements industry in particular.
